There are five established hiking trails in this national park, some much more difficult than others. The Dune Life Nature Trail is easily one of the most kid-friendly hiking trails at White Sands National Park.

The Dune Life Nature Trail is a one-mile loop that is rated easy. However, you will come across two steep climbs with some loose sand. Very young hikers may need a little assistance in these areas.
