Any excuse to relive the grooviest decade in history is fine by us, especially when it involves food! With psychedelic decor and totally rad tacos, c is the most righteous place to dine in the valley. Anyone looking to take a trip back in time will love this family-owned and operated restaurant in Central Phoenix.

Claiming to have invented the fish taco is a pretty bold move, but Two Hippies does it unabashedly. While we can’t fully confirm that statement, we can assure you the BYOB policy is 100% legit.

Facebook/Two Hippies You’ll find the restaurant at 501 E Camelback Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85012.

Spend some time admiring all of the funky decor before taking a seat. With a vintage Volkswagen, peace signs, and tie-dye everywhere you look, it’s a little slice of the ‘60s.

Google/Brian Turner Don’t be surprised if a Beatles song is playing in the background!

The barstools fill up rather quickly, but there’s a covered patio that features plenty of picnic tables. Painted in every psychedelic color imaginable, it’s like sitting inside a lava lamp.

Whether or not the fish taco was invented here has yet to be determined, but you won’t care after tasting them. Cabbage, onion, chopped tomatoes, beans, rice, and cheese are all stuffed inside a corn tortilla for an explosive Tex-Mex flavor unlike anything else in the valley.

Google/Woman Driven And at just a few bucks per taco, the prices can’t be beat!

Rock n’ roll all the goods up in a massive burrito. Try yours with marinated and grilled shrimp, beans, rice, pico de gallo, feta cheese, and chipotle mayo.

Facebook/Two Hippies Good luck tackling this behemoth burrito!

Loaded nachos are another popular menu item. A bed of crispy, perfectly salted tortilla chips is smothered in everything mentioned above, as well as sour cream, guacamole, and lime wedges.

Facebook/Two Hippies No two bites are quite alike, but they’re all equally delicious.

Two tortillas are always better than one! If you are particularly hungry, consider ordering a quesadilla - it has everything that comes in the tacos plus lots of gooey cheese.

The next time you’re driving around Phoenix in search of somewhere to eat, look out for this giant smiley face. Two Hippies isn’t just a great restaurant; it’s the grooviest dining experience you’ll ever have.

Please note: this restaurant originally opened under the moniker The Two Hippies Beach House in 2007, and after a change of ownership, the restaurant now goes by simply The Beach House. Rest assured it’s still the grooviest place to grab a bite in Arizona, however!

It’s a pretty bold move for any restaurant to declare themselves the best at anything, but if any state is going to make that declaration about tacos, it might as well be Arizona! There is one restaurant that claims to have the best tacos in the state - and many patrons seem to agree. La Santisima in Phoenix is an unassuming restaurant where people go to feast on all types of authentic Mexican tacos. Also, if you want to make a whole trip out of the best taco restaurants, then check out this incredible taco trail in Arizona! Where can I dine at themed restaurants in Arizona? Dining at a themed restaurant in Arizona can almost be a hobby with the number of restaurants there are. First and foremost, Arizona might have the most western-themed restaurants in the country. But also, there are 16 uniquely themed restaurants in Arizona worth checking out, too. Check out Bobby’s D’s diner in Parker for a trip back to the 1950s. Then explore George and Dragon English Restaurant which is a Phoenix pub straight out of London! Also, did we mention MacAlpine’s Soda Fountain which is a tribute to the old-fashioned fountains decades ago? What are the most unique restaurants in Arizona? You can practically throw a rock and find unique restaurants in Arizona, each with its own thing that makes it stand out. Whether it’s the decor, the menu, or simply the location, there are unique restaurants aplenty in the state. For instance, check out Big Tex Bar-B-Que in Wilcox which has guests dining out of a 1920s railcar. Another fan-favorite restaurant is in the L’Auberge de Sedona resort where you can dine al fresco right next to a creek!
