The Peace Garden State is home to many towns and cities (though, fun fact, every incorporated place in North Dakota is considered a city – no matter how small), all with their own history and unique attributes. Not all of them have been named the most beautiful city in the state, though. If you want to experience one of the most picturesque towns here, you must visit Valley City, North Dakota.
Looking for a day trip destination? Why not head to one of North Dakota’s most beautiful cities - Valley City.

Valley City has so much more to offer besides its lovely historic bridges. Visit places like the Medicine Wheel Park or the Barnes County Museum, which includes an impressive triceratops skeleton found in the Dakotas.

You can also stroll around town and see what local shops, restaurants, and buildings there are to see. Stop by Dutton’s Parlor for ice cream or coffee or end your day with exquisite dining with a view at the City Lights Supper Club.
