Northern Delaware is part of the Garden Capital of the World, a title often give to the Philadelphia region. With stunning estates like Winterthur and Nemours making up much of the landscape around Wilmington’s outer suburbs, it’s no wonder that anyone who loves blooms and blossoms would fall in love with the rolling hills and colorful estates of the Brandywine Valley. One garden that’s often overlooked by visitors, though, is the quiet and small Valley Garden Park.

Valley Garden was once the summer home of T. Coleman du Pont, a member of Delaware’s famous family that served in the United States Senate.
