The Ukarydee Equestrian Campground is located in the central Wisconsin community of Arkdale. It’s a short drive south of Wisconsin Rapids and it’s just east of Nekoosa.

The campground has plenty of room for your truck and trailer. It’s divided into three sections – an upper level, a lower level, and a front level. Each level is equipped with modern portable toilets, tools for cleaning your campsite area, and electric hook-ups. The campground’s 50 sites are spacious and have drive-through access so you won’t have to back up your trailer.

The campground is ideally located on the Castle Rock Horse Trails. This trails system offers hours of rewarding riding. You’ll encounter spectacular views of the Wisconsin River, Castle Rock Lake, The Roche A Cri, and Waller’s Pond.

The trails are located on 2,500 acres of Wisconsin River Power Company land. They’re sandy and relatively easy riding, although there are some water crossings in the trail system.

The trails will take you through pine plantations, prairies, and oak forests, and you’ll likely encounter a lot of wildlife. At the end of the day, you can ride right up to your campsite and make easy work of packing it in for the evening.

If you don’t have a horse, you can still enjoy the area’s amazing trails. Nearby stables have everything you need to get on the trail - including instruction, if needed.
