Visit Milton To Capture An Off Shore Glimpse Of Delaware S Nature

Located close to Delaware’s famous beaches, the town of Milton retains an isolated, quaint aura of the past. That’s not to say it is undiscovered, because this is a case of a small town that keeps growing in the thriving Cape Region. The town proudly notes its distinction as “the home of five governors” of multiple states.

Milton is built around the Broadkill River, which travels from the town to the Delaware Bay. The river made Milton an inland port.

The Dogfish Head Brewery is a major landmark and attraction in Milton. Visitors are welcome, although brewery tours were temporarily halted during the pandemic. The creative Steampunk Treehouse marks the property.

Milton is definitely worth a look for beach visitors and other tourists, offering restaurants with local flavor and buildings with a glimpse into history, such as the renovated Milton Theatre. Among the town’s notable celebrations is the Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird Festival, traditionally held in late May.
