Spring at Shoshone Falls just got even better! This month, visitors of Shoshone Falls can enjoy a unique opportunity to see the falls lit up by vibrant colors at nighttime. The event, Shoshone Falls After Dark, will continue through the end of the month and it’s already become super popular. There are few things as breathtaking as seeing Idaho’s most notable waterfall illuminated by dazzling colors, so start planning your trip. Tickets are going fast for this one-of-a-kind event.
Nicknamed the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho makes for an outstanding sight. There’s really no bad time to see this beauty but through the rest of this month, you’ll get a rare opportunity to see it like you never have before!

Presented by Idaho Central Credit Union, Shoshone Falls After Dark is an exciting experience at Idaho’s most famous waterfall. From May 14 through May 31, 2021, the magnificent falls will be illuminated with multi-colored lights nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The lights will be on rain or shine each night, so definitely make an effort to see this unique sight before it’s gone! Consisting of color-changing patterns and designs, there’s truly nothing like viewing the waterfall all lit up at night.

Visitors are required to purchase a timed pass in order to keep crowding down. Passes are issued per vehicle, not per person, and are issued in 30-minute blocks due to parking restrictions. They’ve been selling out fast, so it’s recommended you snag yours as soon as possible.

The best viewing time is typically after 10:00 p.m. when the sky is mostly dark, but you’ll be treated to a beautiful sight no matter what. Dusk views are softer and pastel-like, whereas night views are intense and vibrant.

Visitors will have access to handicap accessible spots and viewing areas in the park. Additionally, there will be a food vendor in the park with snacks and refreshments for purchase. Please wear a mask when social distancing is not possible while viewing the falls.
