Open since 1912, the Red Apple Barn has been run by four generations of the Rose Family in the Worcester County town of Phillipston. Growing over 50 varieties of apples and other fruit, this farm is an ideal place to come for pick-your-own. Aside from the orchards on the farm’s property, you’ll also find a farmhouse from the 1700s, a country store, and a taproom called The Brew Barn where you can order craft beer, hard cider, and mouthwatering BBQ.
In a collaborative effort between Red Apple Farm and Moon Hill Brewing Co., a barn on the farm’s property has been transformed into The Brew Barn. Here you will find excellent craft brews, refreshing hard ciders, and a menu filled with BBQ options.

Inside the taproom, you’ll find picnic tables and a bar where you’ll order your Moon Hill beer and cider. You can also head outside where there’s plenty of seating to enjoy the fresh air and countryside scenery as you have a refreshing craft beverage.

There are plenty of tasty craft brews and you may want to try a blueberry sour if it happens to be on tap during your visit. You can also enjoy a selection of wine from Hardwick Winery as well as non-alcoholic options.

As for the BBQ, you’re in for a treat! Made on-site, choose a plate like the BBQ Combo Plate, a feast of a half-rack of BBQ babyback ribs, smoked BBQ chicken, mac ’n cheese, house slaw, and cornbread. If you don’t want all that food, ordering à la carte is the way to go.
