A stunning area with plenty of flora and fauna to keep you in the shade and give you something to spot is all we could ask for. Thankfully, this pristine lake is a real dream come true.
Part of the clarity does come from the water, but regulations such as no campfires, glass containers, or smoking also contribute. Alcohol is also limited to the camping areas to help ensure the containers never end up in the water.
Fishing is a popular activity out here on the water, and though trout are catch-and-take only, you can get a good-sized catfish or bass on your hook if you’re lucky.
You can reserve a campsite as well, as long as you’re here to enjoy the scenery and the lake without spoiling it with trash. Finding a camping spot without a great view is nearly impossible, so don’t stress about views, either.
