Winterset City Park is one of Iowa’s most famous parks, and it’s full of landmarks that look like they’re straight out of a fairytale.

Many people first come to see the Cutler-Donahoe Bridge, which is a 1870 covered bridge that was featured in the movie The Bridges of Madison County.

The Cutler-Donahoe Bridge originally spanned the North River near Bevington, but it was moved to the park in 1979 for all to enjoy.

You can climb to the top of this 25’ tower that was built in 1926. The view from the top is breathtaking!

Finally, before you leave, stop by to see the Bennet Cabin. This 19th century structure is a true pioneer’s log cabin, and it was moved to the park for preservation in 1917.
