There are a lot of wonderfully laid-back towns in Rhode Island that could qualify as hippie havens. For our purposes, we are defining a hippie as someone who is down to earth and unpretentious, interested in fresh, natural food, supports music and the arts, and enjoys natures beauty in the great outdoors. Although many communities in Rhode Island hold those values, we are nominating Warren as the most hippie town in Rhode Island. Warren has a low-key attitude and is filled with antique stores, funky galleries and shops, and amazing restaurants. Here are a few more reasons why Warren deserves the title.
