Downtown Ellicott City has been through a whole lot in the last few years. First, a devastating flood hit in 2016. The historical flood made national news and the town recovered the best they could. Just when things were looking up, another epic flood happened in 2018, destroying the Main Street area once more. Local shops and restaurants were damaged again, some remaining shuttered indefinitely.
Despite the tragic floods, spirits remain high throughout the community. Some businesses even rebuilt a second time. The positivity of the townspeople is infectious, and it’s caught on all the way to Hollywood. Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay recently visited the Main Street area and helped transform a few of the local businesses. The special airs tonight, May 12th, and we can’t wait to watch.
The national television show 24 Hours to Hell and Back will be airing the Ellicott City special tonight on Fox at 8pm.
