Here’s the deal with fall leaf color in Iowa this year, at least according to the folks at smokeymountains.com, who release predicted leaf peaks for the entire United States.

In Iowa, expect two weeks of peak color. Counties in Northern Iowa will experience a color peak during the week of October 11.

Southern Iowa counties can expect their fall foliage to peak during the week of October 18.
