We know that when out-of-staters hear of New York, their minds typically jump straight to the Big Apple, but there’s so much beauty to the Empire State outside of New York City. There is a multitude of outdoor spots for nature lovers to enjoy in New York. We’ve got one that is an absolute paradise for anyone looking to get in touch with the natural side of New York: Wildwood State Park in Suffolk County. The beach is breathtaking and offers a great place to get out and relax for a day (or two!), and there are lots of trails for those who prefer to be out hiking.
Wildwood State Park is a 767-acre park on Long Island’s north shore. The most popular part of the park is the beach on Long Island Sound.

You’ll feel miles away from it all as you listen to the waves crash upon the rocky shore.

The beach is extremely rocky, so you’ll want to wear appropriate water shoes and watch where you step!
