Wormsloe Historic Site, also nicknamed Georgia’s Tunnel of Trees, offers a one-of-a-kind drive down a rural road surrounded by over 400 outstretched oak trees.

The combination of twisted, leaning branches is just part of the magic, but the Spanish moss draping over the avenue also adds to the experience.

Hanging in beautiful clumps from the limbs of the trees, the 1.5-mile oak avenue makes for the perfect place for Spanish moss to thrive, draping beautifully over the road.

The Tunnel of Trees is just part of the experience at Wormsloe. Visitors are also able to see tabby ruins and gravesites, plus hike the seven miles of nature trails or sit in the picnic area to have some lunch.
