Sometimes, we all need a little nature adventure. Luckily, New Jersey provides plenty of opportunities for that: Just check out all the amazing hiking the state has to offer. One such adventure is Wyanokie High Point, accessed via Highlands and Wyanokie Crest Trail. It is a long trail and it can be difficult at points but it also has an amazingly beautiful overlook with a view you won’t forget — and the hike there is pretty darn nice, too. It’s a loop trail, so you’ll see something new during every part of the experience.

The hike is rated as “moderate” on AllTrails and does feature 1,827 feet-elevation gain, so be prepared to huff and puff a little to get to the view.

Once you reach it, though, you’ll feel totally rewarded. It’s one of the best views of New Jersey you can get!

Along the way, you’ll spot a river, a waterfall, and all kinds of wildlife.

Plus, these woods are gorgeous no matter the season.

And really again — it’s all worth it for the view. We can’t overstate how lovely it is!

Good news, too — the trail is accessible all year round. And your furry friends are totally welcome: Just make sure to keep them on a leash, per the trail’s rules.
